Who We Serve

Built for the
curious.

ForeignVista is designed for students, professionals, and lifelong learners who want to expand their perspective through meaningful cultural immersion — in a structured, supportive environment.

First-Time International Travelers

Everything is arranged. You will never navigate alone. ForeignVista provides a structured and supportive environment for those stepping abroad for the first time.

First-Generation Students

Access to international cultural experience should not be determined by zip code or background. ForeignVista builds pathways for students who would not otherwise have them.

Culturally Curious Professionals

For professionals seeking global awareness, language development, and authentic cultural engagement beyond the conference room and the resort.

Institutions & Organizations

We partner with TRIO programs, HBCUs, nonprofits, and community organizations to bring meaningful international experiences to the students and communities they serve.

FAQ

Questions
answered.

Who is ForeignVista designed for? +
ForeignVista is designed for students, professionals, and lifelong learners who want to expand their perspective through meaningful cultural immersion. Our programs are especially valuable for first-time international travelers, first-generation students, community-based organizations, culturally curious professionals, and anyone seeking a deeper connection with the world beyond tourism.
Do I need to speak Spanish to participate? +
No fluency required. Our programs include Spanish language instruction as part of the immersive experience. What matters most is curiosity and a genuine willingness to engage with a culture different from your own.
What is included in the program price? +
Program price includes accommodation, daily breakfast, select group meals, all ground transportation, Spanish language instruction, cultural experiences and excursions, bilingual local coordinators, international travel insurance, and pre-departure preparation materials. International airfare is not included.
How safe are the programs? +
Safety is ForeignVista's highest operational priority. Every program operates at a 1:3 staff-to-participant ratio with two bilingual local coordinators and two American co-facilitators on the ground at all times. All participants carry international travel insurance with zero out-of-pocket emergency coverage. We maintain a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan and vetted transportation and medical partners at every destination.
Are payment plans available? +
Yes. A deposit secures your spot and the remaining balance can be paid in installments leading up to departure. Contact us for details on current payment schedules.
Can institutions or organizations partner with ForeignVista? +
ForeignVista partners with educational institutions, community organizations, and mission-driven groups to expand access to meaningful international cultural immersion experiences. We welcome collaboration with universities, colleges, TRIO and student support programs, HBCUs, nonprofits, youth development organizations, and private institutions. Partnership models include cohort-based travel programs, sponsored or grant-supported participation, and custom-designed cultural immersion experiences aligned with organizational goals.
I have never traveled internationally. Is this right for me? +
Absolutely. ForeignVista programs are designed with first-time international travelers in mind. Everything is arranged. You will never navigate alone. Our bilingual local coordinators and American co-facilitators are with the group at every step so you can focus entirely on the experience.
What happens if the program does not meet minimum enrollment? +
If a program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, participants receive a full refund of their deposit. We recommend not purchasing non-refundable international airfare until the program has been officially confirmed.

John Starr — Founder of ForeignVista
John Starr Founder & Program Director

Born and raised in Georgia, I spent much of my life believing the world was limited to the environment I knew. That perspective changed during my undergraduate years when I lived and learned alongside students from around the globe. Through travel, language learning, and cultural immersion, I discovered that every place, culture, and person offers a different way of understanding the world.

With more than 15 years of experience in education — from K–12 and higher education to private-sector educational advocacy — I have dedicated my career to helping people expand their opportunities. ForeignVista was created from a simple belief: exposure changes lives. When we step beyond our familiar surroundings and engage with different cultures, languages, and perspectives, we gain a deeper understanding of both the world and ourselves.

My goal is to help others experience that same transformation through meaningful, authentic cultural immersion.
